The problems to be solved:

Cooking gases such as NO2

Poor ventilation in kitchens

Cooking Smells

Poor efficiency in kitchens of co-living spaces

One study estimated that cooking with gas adds 25–33% to the week-averaged indoor NO2 concentrations during summer and 35–39% in winter.

Coming from different cultures and backgrounds it can be very hard for people to get used to each others cooking styles and cooking smells.

PROCESS

I started my form exploration with sketches and clay models after which moved on to some more developed and 3d printed models. With third image I was looking at the structure of the fan and see how it can work. In the 4th image I started developing the final for which you can see in later photos.
